We are a family-owned inn that specializes in taking the stress out of family vacations.  Just park the car and forget it because everything you need is at the Surfside or within a short stroll.  We invite you to relax in our immaculate climate-controlled rooms, suites, condos or cottages where you'll enjoy the convenience of your own refrigerator and, if you choose, kitchenettes.  The wide sands of the Atlantic Ocean are just a foot-bridge across the dunes and our two swimming pools offer a refreshing salt-free splash. 

Nestled in the heart of a lively seashore town, you can choose the quiet solitude of our landscaped grounds and breezeways or walk to nearby shops, restaurants and attractions.  We're just yards from the harbor at Carolina Beach where you can charter a deep sea fishing boat or take a scenic tour of the Intracoastal Waterway and Cape Fear River on a comfortable boat with professional captains.  And if the kids need more excitement than bodysurfing in the Atlantic, there's an amusement park just blocks away.  We're just a 20-minute drive down Highway 421 from Historic Downtown Wilmington, 10 minutes from the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Civil War earthworks, and 10 minutes from the state ferry landing where you can enjoy a 20-minute crossing that includes a view of pelican nesting grounds.
